Our Story

From the woman behind the shop

I didn't set out to run a shop about mermaids. I set out to keep the ones I kept finding ~ the one who heard you and stayed in the water, the one whose face answered before she did, the one who books the table for six and arrives last. They had lives before any of us showed up. I just started writing them down.

If one of them looks familiar, that's the point. Some of them are me. Most of them are someone I know. One of them is probably you, and you'll know which.

~ Mari

Three of us. Four, if you count Pearl.

Tessa finds them ~ new mermaids, odd situations, things Mari needs to see. Brooke decides what stays, usually after five seconds of silence and an "unfortunately, she's right." Mari writes it down. Pearl is a pelican who hangs around the dock, knows everyone's business and has never once been invited.
