Mermaid Dayz Gift Card
A gift card turned up at the cove and nobody has agreed on whose it is. The one on the warm rock says it was obviously meant for her and has not opened her eyes to argue the point. The one who runs the group chat has already drafted three polls. The one who swam out past the buoys at seven this morning does not know about it yet and will have opinions when she gets back. Brunch was moved twice during the discussion. Nobody is leaving the water over it.
Here is how it ends. A Mermaid Dayz gift card goes to the woman who already knows which tee she wants and has been pretending to think about it since spring ~ your sister, your best friend, the one you vacation with, the one who came to mind the second you read this. She picks. You get the credit. She wears it to the next brunch and says nothing about it, which is the whole point.
